by Barbara

BGC Group and ten top global banks have launched U.S. Treasury futures contracts on the FMX Futures Exchange. The new contracts for 2-year and 5-year U.S. Treasury bonds began trading on May 19, 2025.

This launch follows FMX’s introduction of SOFR futures in September 2024 and adds a key tool for institutional investors like banks and investment firms worldwide.
