Jill, Inc. (NYSE: JILL) (J.Jill), a leading omnichannel retailer and recognized women’s apparel brand, has announced the recipients of its 23rd annual J.Jill Compassion Fund grants. The Compassion Fund, established to support women in overcoming challenges and achieving independence, provides critical resources to community-based organizations focused on education, career development, and basic needs.
Since its creation in 2002, the Compassion Fund has donated nearly $24 million in grants and in-kind donations to various organizations. This year, J.Jill is deepening its partnership with three nonprofit organizations, offering multi-year support, including funding, volunteerism, and product donations.
The organizations receiving support are:
-
Bottomless Closet (New York, NY): Focused on empowering disadvantaged women in New York City, Bottomless Closet provides professional attire, career development services, and ongoing support to help women enter the workforce. J.Jill’s Compassion Fund has donated over 700,000 clothing items since 2002 and will continue supporting workforce development programs aimed at helping women achieve economic self-sufficiency.
-
Rosie’s Place (Boston, MA): A multi-service community center, Rosie’s Place offers shelter, meals, and support to women in need. Through a new Workforce Development Program, made possible by J.Jill’s support, the organization will double the number of women it serves annually. Services include job search assistance, legal aid, and English language classes.
-
Wellspring House (Gloucester, MA): This organization helps families and adults on Cape Ann and North Shore achieve employment and financial stability through shelter, education, and job training. The Compassion Fund’s contribution will allow Wellspring to increase the number of women served by 140% and expand educational programs, especially for those pursuing careers in healthcare.
Kara Howard, SVP of Marketing and Customer Experience at J.Jill, expressed pride in the ongoing partnerships with these organizations. “The Compassion Fund reflects our dedication to supporting women as they work toward self-sufficiency and a brighter future for themselves and their families,” Howard said. “We are excited about the expanded opportunities these partnerships will bring.”
All proceeds from J.Jill’s Compassion Fund product line go directly to supporting these community programs. The Compassion Fund is sustained through the brand’s product sales and various fundraising initiatives.
